The think tank’s director and founder is Anders Olshov. He has a degree in economics from the Stockholm School of Economics and a post-graduate degree from Amsterdam School of International Relations.
Anders Olshov started his career as political editor and financial journalist at Nerikes Allehanda, Liberala Nyhetsbyrån, Dagens Industri and Finanstidningen in Sweden. He worked as a macroeconomist and FX and fixed income analyst at Carnegie Investment Bank 1992-1994 and Nordea Bank 1994-2002. He founded the Oresund Institute in 2002 and was its director until 2014. In December 2015 he founded Intelligence Watch where he has distinguished himself as a debater, launched ”the Malmö-Lund city” and initiated Japan Bridge Scandinavia, where he is a board member. In 2010 he was named ”Economist of the year” in Skåne by Economy Forum Skåne/Executive Foundation Lund. His book about the Oresund region as Copenhagen’s untapped opportunity was published by Gyldendal in Swedish and Danish in 2013.
